In August 2013, the cast of La Monnaie’s 2012 celebrated production of Orlando, led by Bejun Mehta in perhaps his most well-known role, reunited with the Belgian Baroque Orchestra B’Rock and conductor René Jacobs in the Brugge Concertgebouw to record the work for DG/Archiv.

Taking full advantage of the opportunity to make a studio recording, the CD will feature not only the exquisitely honed performances of the ensemble, but also special percussion effects most fitting to this most magical of Handel’s operas.

Due for release on May 12, to coincide with a revival at the Holland Festival Amsterdam and concert performances in Köln and Paris.
