This recording features vocal and instrumental music associated with Farinelli, a celebrated 18th century castrato singer, and one of the most well-known opera singers of all time. On this album, Mr. Mehta sings the aria Farinelli was most famous for performing in his lifetime, Alto Giove, è tua grazia by composer Nicola Porpora.
